Secretary's
Report: No report for November
due to absenteeism.
Treasurer's Report:
Approved.
Committee
Reports:
Negotiations:
- The Board will notify us when
they are ready to start negotiations for the Paras and
Security guards.
Grievance:
- One confidential matter will be
having a hearing.
Social:
- Nothing to report.
Ed Council:
- There still hasn't been any
meetings scheduled. There are supposed to be four
meetings held a year.
Old
Business:
- District Climate Survey:
The surveys will distributed on December
16th and returned to your building rep on
December 17th in the morning.
- Question number
20, does not have answer blocks. Place your
answer between questions 19 and 21.
- Chuck will put information
concerning the survey on the web site.
New
Business:
- Matt Penrose- We were asked if
there was anything that the PEA could do to help Matt.
We are all concerned and would like to help, but we
are limited in what financial help we can give, and
also it would set a standard for when any other
student might need the same help. We decided that
since we are unable to help financially, that if the
contact person will keep Chuck Nowalk abreast of any
events planned, he will make sure that it is posted on
the website.
- If you have any information
that you feel should be listed on the web site,
contact Chuck. He does a great job of keeping the
members informed.
- Ann Ball will be running the
spelling bee again. A motion was made by Chuck to
"support Ann with the spelling bee up to $500.00" and
seconded by Matty. Motion carried. The money is to
purchase trophies, t-shirts, and certificates.
- Alice Romberger informed us
that she received the Pride Grant for her "Book and
Dessert" project.
- Food drive money is due to John
P. on December 17th at PMS.
Building
concerns
- Some Paras are working double
shifts. They are working full time hours, but without
the benefits. This will make it harder for any part
time aides to ever be made full time.
Next meeting January 13,
2004
Respectfully submitted,
Marilyn Shober
