Secretary's
Report: On-line.
Treasurer's Report:
Approved
Committee
Reports:
- Negotiations: Jim has
the proposed salary guide for the full time Paras
done. He is now working on the proposed salary guide
for part time. Security negotiations are not going
very well.
- Grievance: The committee
is trying to come up with one procedure for all the
groups.
- Social:
- The retirement
dinner was a huge success. Thanks to all those who
planned this event. A date change for this event
was tabled until September.
- Barb Alderfer is looking
into topics for a PEA workshop in
October.
- Ed Council: There was
not an Ed Council meeting. Ground rules should be gone
over and the meetings should be scheduled earlier next
year so as to get the four contractually-required
meetings in.
Old
Business:
- Calendar: George will
look into seeing if the calendar can be changed. Most
schools get out earlier. We are driven by our
graduation. This was tabled until September. It needs
more discussion.
- Discipline: This is
still a major problem. Freeman school has a discipline
committee, which seems to heading in the right
direction.
- T-shirts: 575 shirts
have been ordered. These can be worn on the full day
in-services. More information on this will be coming
in September.
New
Business:
- NEA Convention: Motion
to give the each representatives $100.00 for the NEA
Convention. Passed
Building
concerns:
- Pride grant - George will bring
it to PMS
- Need volunteers for the Old
Towne Festival. Please contact Cindy
Perio at Green St. if
you can help out. Dates are a Saturday & Sunday in
July.
Next meeting September 14,
2004
Respectfully submitted,
Marilyn Shober
