•  The NEA Representative Assembly convention was held in Washington D. C. from July 2 - 7. PEA attendees were Mike Kruczek and Carol Mertz. Click here to review some of the highlight and accomplishments of this year's convention.
•  Andover-Morris elementary school will be getting 5-7 more trailers and a $6 million face-lift later this year. Click here to find out more about these improvements.
•  There are now 31 Abbott districts. The NJ DoE approved the Salem school district as the newest Abbott district. This makes Salem the first addition to the original 30 Abbott districts since the NJ Supreme Court decision many years ago. Click here to read about our newest sister district.

•  The NJ Teachers' Pension fund is being underfunded by the state. Click here to read the actuarial information relating the amount of underfunding and the danger it represents to teachers' pensions.
•  The school board mailed a survey to all town residents this month asking their input about the 'community features' of the new high school and early childhood center. Click here to read about this survey.
