The Board of Education met in special session on
Thursday, August 4, to inform the community what its
approach would be to the news that the SCC would not fund
the construction of a new high school and renovations to

Brunswick attending the annual NJEA
Summer Leadership Conference workshops. President
Barbara Alderfer and ten other people attended a total of
sixteen workshops over the week-long conference. Click

A court ruling in early August gave the NJ DoE 45
days to put into print its educational plan for the Abbott

For the first time in six (6) years, local
municipalities will have to contribute to their employees'
pension fund plans. Potential funding problems are on the
horizon as cash-strapped municipalities attempt to find

Association dues have increased this year for the
national, state & county branches. Local dues remain
the same. Full-time teachers will pay $44 more while all
other full-time personnel will pay an additional $23. Click
