The PDF
(Portable
Document
Format)
file format was created by the Adobe corporation so that
computer-generated work could be viewed and manipulated on
any computer.
For example, most of
the computer-generated work in the Phillipsburg School
District is done on Apple computers. As a general rule, you
can not use Apple files on a Wintel (Windows/Intel) computer
and vice-versa.
Adobe's PDF file
format allows people to do exactly this.
To accomplish this
task, you need a computer with Adobe's Acrobat
Reader software
installed on it. If your computer is equipped so, you need
do nothing else. You have access to any PDF file
anywhere.
If your computer does
not have Adobe's Acrobat
Reader installed
on it, what can you do? Click on the link below to install
it. This software is free.
If you own an Apple Macintosh computer and would like to
create PDF files, a $20 shareware program
(PrintToPDF)
is available by clicking on the link
